INVISIBLE INTERACTIONS: A Collective Exhibition by Macadam Gallery
Past exhibition
Overview
Macadam Gallery is very pleased to present the collective exhibition INVISIBLE INTERACTIONS.
"Invisible Interactions" invites you on a journey to the heart of contemporary abstraction, where the boundaries between art and architecture dissolve to reveal new creative perspectives. This exhibition highlights the fascinating synergy between the works of artists Kean, James Austin Murray, Jan Kalab, and François Bonnel, whose explorations of abstraction transcend traditional visual limits to question perception and aesthetic experience. Bonnel's bold geometric forms, Kean's subtle gradients, Murray's material exploration of black, and Kalab's 2D/3D interplay evoke an emotional and intellectual depth that encourages introspective reflection.
Meanwhile, David Moreno, Asa Johansson, and Daniel Mirchev bring a minimalist architectural and sculptural dimension that harmoniously engages with the surrounding space. Johansson, with her mastery of void and solid, Mirchev with his refined and powerful interventions, Moreno, playing with lines and materials to challenge the eye, sensations, and fleeting perspectives, and Pim Palsgraaf's work embodies compositions that capture the essence of architecture while evoking the unpredictability of nature's resurgence, explore the relationships between matter and volume, transforming exhibition spaces into unique sensory experiences. Conceptual installation artist Sali Muller dives into the world of self-image through unconventional materials that create a reflective multiverse.
Their sculptures, both minimalist and sophisticated, question the functionality and aesthetics of architecture, offering a stimulating contrast to the abstractions of paintings.
This exhibition creates a space where the works interact and complement one another, fostering an ongoing dialogue between abstraction and minimalism. "Invisible Intersections" is thus a celebration of how contemporary art can reinvent our understanding of form and space, while unveiling new dimensions of our visual and sensory experience.
